It is TWO AND A HALF MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT on the Doomsday Clock according to the members of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists.
It is enough to turn John Wycliffe and Abraham Lincoln to turn over in their grave.
It is 2018 and yet Trump plus dishonest, belligerent, greedy, corrupt, and hegemonic mostly Republican neocons as well as many Democrat neolibs are doubling down on hawkish threats to Russia, and even to Iran on generally hyperbolic fabrications, which are reckless, incendiary, irrational, and illegal.
The most recent unhinged Trump threat on Iran, reminds one of how he disgraced himself recently at the UN General Assembly when he threatened to bomb the entire nation of North Korea.
His threat latest calumuniating twitter message to the moderate democratically elected Iranian President Rouhani, which is explosively incendiary, irresponsible, baseless, and recklessly provocative he states as follows :

NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!
This threat is beyound outrageous.
Unfortunately it is not uncommon for Trump and yet he will not be severely critiqued for it by the Republican neocons or the Democratic neolibs.
The media will report it, but in a media which now so concentrated in ownership and hence control by a corporatocracy which in engages in such a dereliction of duty to accurately inform and properly contextualize the history of the reality between the avalanche of hatred and fear mongering based on hardly any solid facts, that the non-sapient American people is force-fed, toxins which further exacerbate the dangers of major wars which will have calamitous and irreversible damage to all concerned.
Paradoxically, the only positive act by Trump is his insistence in having normal and cordial communications and relations with Putin / Russia and even in that he is confused, chaotic, and contradictory.
NATO has been pushed to morph from a shield to become a sword to encircle Russia, and Republicans as well as Democrats cannot stop the McCarthyst incitement and call for sanctions on Russia on the basis of fraudulent and unproven allegations that Russia “invaded” Crimea, and that Russia “intervened” in our elections in ways which made Trump the victor.
As regards to the so-called “invasion” of Ukraine, it was the West which actually intervened on behalf of the neo-Nazis in the Ukraine. “It was the U.S. and the European Union sanctions on Russia and their subsequent false accusations of destabilizing the the Ukraine which started a new cold war policy with the aim of turning Russia into a pariah state“.
In fact while planing for this insidious destabilization of the legitimate government of the Ukraine, Victoria Nuland m our US-Assistant Secretary of State in a phone conversation with Geoffrey Pratt our Ambassador to the Ukraine, while discussing the destabilization of the Ukraine, when asked about the EU as regards to this matter, was caught as replying ” FUCK the EU“…

Such rubbish is being pushed 24/7 while it is clear that it was the U.S. and not Russia with the support of such Democrat neolibs as Madeleine Albright and Hillary Clinton and which demonized Saddam Hussein after had been armed and embraced earlier by Donald Rumsfeld to attack Iran in a war which lasted 10 years, it the was the U.S. and not Russia which invaded and destroyed Iraq, it was the U.S. under the gleeful applause of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton which bombed and destroyed Libia, it was the U.S. under the tremendous pressure of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and not Russia which in 2009 decided to characterize the violent overthrow of the democratically elected populist and popular President Zelaya in Honduras, as NOT (?!) a coup d’etat, empowering then the right-wing thugs who abducted the President in the middle of the night, and took over and started to target for assassinations, union organizers, and environmental peaceful activists such as Bertha Caceres, all because we have had for decades a military base in Honduras to protect and intervene in the the popular opposition of the murderous dictatorial regime misleaders of El Salvador and Guatemala.
When will recover a U.S. governance and a Congress which “we the people” can trust to accept reality and govern with diplomacy and not grotesque threats, and not indulge in corruption, war games, and dangerous provocations on Russia which has the nuclear power to “totally destroy” the U.S. (words Trump used in his threats on North Korea.
The perpetual war threats by all three, Trump, Republican neocons, and Democrat neolibs political establishments must end NOW, and that means that “we the people” must elect principled progressives who will provide us with capacitated, honest, ethical, and Constitutional law-abiding governance, which will finally redirect the trillions of our hard-earned tax dollars deflected by the industrial-military complex, and by the big pharma-hospital-insurance complexes, which to boot are now attempting to infiltrate the British National Health Service with the presently, the cooperation of the right-wing Prime Minister Teresa May.
Once for all we must channel said funds of ours away from infernal unnecessary wars, and i n the directions of our immediate needs such as in providing us with universal health care, affordable state higher education, and allow us to elect academic scholarly diplomats who will create ways which produce the grounds needed for peaceful coexistence with Russia, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba and which crack totally down and stop funding and arming such horrifically destructive regimes as Saudi Arabia et al. which is barbarically destroying Yemen, and Zionist power structured Israel which is barbarically destroying Palestine, and many others.
