On October 28, 2015, this writer attended an event sponsored by the prestigious organization Jewish Voice for Peace.   The event is a series of the kind and is called the “Peace Café”.  It features guest speakers comprising scholarly authors who present their most recently published book.

The guest speaker, Nora Kadman, in this case is an Israeli author and the name of the book she discussed, which was followed by a Q & A session is “Erasing Palestinian Villages from Israeli History / Erased from Space and Consciousness “.

This book constitutes a fascinatingly comprehensive account of how deliberately, obsessively, and systematically since Israel’s violent so-called “declaration of independence”, i.e. since the Judaic religion was rather bizarrely nationalized and morphed into a so-called “state” entity to be violently implanted into the land of the autochthonous Palestinians in 1948, hundreds of Palestinian villages and towns were depopulated and their legitimated owners were disposed of their properties while essentially being told, abide, leave, or die.

This resulted in the take over by European and North American Zionist colonialist Jews of about 75% of Palestine, a process which first was facilitated by the British imperialists and subsequently, after the Israel provoked war of 1967 and invaded the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights, when the United States became involved in this atrocity against the humanity of the Palestinians.

Author Noga Kadman, moved by commendable principles and intellectual curiosity decided to document and publish the truth about 418 villages and towns which have since then been mostly violently destroyed, had their names changed from Arabic to Hebrew, a widespread practice which resulted in the expulsion from Palestine of initially close to one million Palestinians and subsequently to the dispossessions and killing of hundreds of thousands, a process which continues to this day.

Often villages who resisted their illegal and immoral expulsions were tied to each other to creeks were they were cold-bloodedly gunned down while their houses were being demolished.

Israeli children have been taught that Palestinians “abandoned” their lands, even though Prime Minister Golda Meyer tried to get away with the grossly dishonest fabrication that “Palestine was a land without people for a people without land”.

There has been a veritable conspiracy of silence about these atrocities which further evolved into a campaign for the “Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine ” (the title of a book by one of Israel’s bravest, most principled, and most incisive historians, namely Ilan Pappe).

All kinds of false pretexts have been used by officialdom for these crimes against the humanity of the Palestinians and sadly and stunningly, the United States has adopted a policy of support and protection of those elements in the power structures of Israel which thereon after, with this enablement in synergy with the U.S. financial and military aid to Israel which amounts to about $ 20 million dollars per day, continued their regular thefts and massacres, most notably the massacre of the summer of 2014 of some 3,000 Gazans, including 500  children.

One of the most egregiously horrific and irrational fundamental pseudo-justifications given by the Zionist colonialist hegemonies who continue to this day to carry out provocations against Palestinians which then naturally result in desperate and violent reprisals by extremist groups of Palestinian, so that then Kafkaequelly and perversively this phenomenon can be exploited to tag all Palestinians who legitimately and peacefully protest against this barbaric injustice, as so-called “terrorists”, is the pre textual and ludicrous reference to the Holocaust and to the ancient Hebrew bible for Israeli atrocities, neither of one of which is rational and hence applicable.

With respect to said Hebrew bible reference, it happens to be a belief that thousands of years ago, a deity commanded the Jews via their prophet to seize the land not belonging to them and to kill those who defend their land.

First, from the Book of Deuteronomy :

“When Yahweh your God brings you into the land that you are about to enter and occupy, and he clears away many nations before you — the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites…and when Yahweh your God gives them over to you…you must utterly destroy them…Show them no mercy…For you are a people holy to Yahweh your God; Yahweh your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on earth to be his people, his treasured possession (Deuteronomy 7.1-11; see also 9.1-5; 11.8-9, 23, 31-32).” 

 “But as for the towns of these peoples that Yahweh your God is giving you as an inheritance, you must not let anything that breathes remain alive. You shall annihilate them—the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites—just as Yahweh your God has commanded, so that they may not teach you to do all the abhorrent things that they do for their gods, and you thus sin against Yahweh your God (Deuteronomy 20.16-18).”
