Ryan Lochte and his fellow olympic athletes went way beyond disgracing themselves in their   bizarre hooliganistic public rest room vandalism coupled to their fabrication of a story designed to calumniate the Rio de Janeiro law enforcement institution in order to evade having to face law enforcement and justice.

By their utterly repulsive acts to drunken vandalism  and by their attempt to get away with doing so at the expense of the Rio law enforcement institution by claiming dishonestly that they were held up and robbed by police officers, they did tremendous damage not only to themselves, but to their fellow Olympian athletes, to the U.S. and to Brazil.

Under the limelight of the world’s cameras, these four young men, led by a not so young 32   year old gold medal winner, Ryan Lochte, damaged severely what otherwise had been an Olympic successful but challenging achievement for Brazil which is happening during a time of a severe recession when a political slow-moving coup is taking place against Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff who did not commit any crime.

The distinguished American political sports writer and sports editor of The Nation, David Zirin, described the damage Lochte et al. did in a particularly incisive statement during an interview by the progressive Democracy Now’s legendary Amy Goodman.

Locate fled the country immediately after his shamefully disgusting behavior and later declared that, he made a “mistake” and takes responsibly for it, whatever that means, and period.  Out of sight is probably out of mind to him, except for the lost cash he will experience when hopefully no corporation will use him for its commercial advertising.

Kantian philosophy established long ago that ethically there is an imperative for crime to have proportionate punishment.

Justice has not run its course in this case.  Justice calls for Ryan Lochte particularly, to be arrested, face a court proceeding in Brazil, be convicted, and sentenced to community labor, preferably, to labor involving cleaning and painting of a Brazilian prison’s rest rooms for one month or so.

Without excusing the despicable behavior of these four U.S. Olympic athletes in Rio, it is clear that there has existed a background as regards to the practice of deceit, dishonesty, the active or passive aggressive use of slurs and insults which has become most noteworthy by the mainstream media’s coverage to political campaigns.

This pattern of behavior is now percolating down on the most apt to emulate it and arrogant, rich, and myopic and corrupt enough to feel that consequences for such decadence of morals will not touch them.

Typically candidates such as Mitt Romney, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and others have excelled at this sort of inadmissible behavior as they mislead and insulted egregiously the American public.

Since the mainstream media covers such offensive dishonesty, but social networking sites, independent bloggers, and independent professional media expose these practices, these corrupted and unethical individuals often then issue so-called regrets (when caught),  only to continue more of the same, hoping to not get caught by fact checkers all of the time so they can continue to peddle their dishonest and perversely self centered agendas.

This kind of behavior has over the last decades percolated down to the unethical elements of the population at large who in turn exhibit grotesque behavioral patterns and engage in dishonest proclamations, and when caught, disingenuously and pathetically say “oops, I am sorry”.

To wit the following are just some of the examples.

Mitt Romney during the campaign against Barak Obama, declared that “Israel is a superior culture” trying to thereby justify its horrific crimes against the humanity of Palestinians. The Israeli progressive newspaper Haaretz held him to task for this racist statement.

After a debate between Mitt Romney and Obama, in which Obama exhibited a genuine superiority over Mitt Romney, his son declared that he felt like “punching Obama”

Mitt Romney, also tried to prevent the media from exposing his coordination of a violent attack on a student in high school when he along with others, tackled said student, threw in  on the floor and cut is hair.   The student’s “offense” was that he kept to himself and was a homosexual.

Hillary Clinton most recently tried to lie about her lies by declaring that when she dissembled in her deposition to FBI director James Comey, she declared artfully that she experienced a “short circuit“.

Of course, Hillary Clinton is an experienced dissembler as she demonstrated when the DNC/Wasserman Schultz/Clinton brazen attempt to sabotage Bernie Sanders’ campaign by suggesting that he was either insufficiently Jewish, or worse, possibly secular and therefore, somehow not suited for the presidency, was exposed.

Clinton’s first and continuing reaction was to blame the Russian government of Putin for the exposure of the scandal, but remaining mute on the scandal itself.

Said exposure of the leaked e-mails documenting said sabotage, enormously damaged further her campaign and her credibility as well as that of the DN.  Additionally, of course, the DNC Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz, had to resign for this scandal but not surprisingly she was immediately hired by Clinton for her campaign, since Schultz and Clinton are friends and work very closely with each other.

One last example of the decadence of ethics in politics, mainstream media, and other sectors of governance is found in the incredibly dishonest and inflammatory declaration by  Hillary Clinton when she charged in 2014 that the Russian President Putin aimed to “re-Sovietize the Ukraine and then went as far as likening his rationale for “invading Ukraine“(sic)  to “Adolph Hitler’s moves in the run-up to WWII.”   The Washington Post, inter alia,  reported this amazingly dishonest statement on August 18, 2016.

The historical facts obviously do not matter to these misleaders of otherwise miscreants.

As any professional historian will attest to, or a cursory Google search engine will assist confirming,  the historical reality is that Crimea had been part of Russia for 200 years until 1954, when it was gifted to the Soviet Republic of the Ukraine by the then Russian Premier, Nikita Khrushchev. This was to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the historic decision by Ukraine to unify with tsarist Russia. At that time, it would have been impossible to foresee that the Soviet Union would collapse and split into separate republics, that the borders would have to be renegotiated and that Ukraine would again be an independent country.    There never was an invasion of the Ukraine by Putin.    The vast majority of Crimeans are Russians and 87% vote democratically to remain part of Russia.

So, admittedly this article calling for consequences for the criminal acts of the Lochter et al., covers in this latter part a brief genesis of  “shoot from the hip and apologize later” practice on the part of elites who feel immune from consequences when they literally lie, cheat, and steal in their paths for the generation of optical, financial, or fame, capital generation, and this is a dangerous state for any society to allow itself to approach as it may lead to its eventual destabilization and disintegration.

The only way out of this universal malaise at this point is for ALL  decent, rational, humanistic Americans for freedom, social and economical justice, prosperity, and peaceful conflict resolution, and more,  to unite regardless of ideo – political  backgrounds or perspectives, and to focus on the ONLY viable way out this decadent state of affairs by rejecting the campaign the corporatist-militarist establishment mainstream media and politicians, and that includes most particularly the so-called non-establishment Trump who needs no one to discredit him since his own, frank but unacceptable behavior and declaration have taken care of that, and that means voting for the third party real alternative which the Bernie Sanders movement his now embracing and thereby turbo-charging.

So to sum up, we ALL must focus on those the mainstream medial, and the neon and neolib politicians strenuously do not want the American public even be aware of, much less to focus on, namely the genuinely progressive, genuinely  independent campaign of Doctor Jill Stein and her VP appointee the distinguished scholar Ajamu Baraka.

These highly sensitive, sincere, incorruptible, candidates will bring into governance the finest, most experienced, talented, dedicated Americans from every sector imaginable of our this mosaic which has rendered our society one of the most vibrant of any societies of the world, a society which will become more like that of our formerly loyalist friends of the north, namely Canada, which is immensely more democratic that we are now, immensely more just, socialized in terms of rights and obligations and excellent social services such as a single payer health care system, an excellent and affordable educational system, and a rational weapons regulation legislation which is not blocked by such toxic undue influence lobbies as the NRA, and a foreign policy based on sophisticated diplomacy, coupled to an non-offensive military defense establishment which is not under the influence of such other toxic undue influence of the industrial-military complex, of of the AIPAC  Israel lobby which is damaging to the US and to all well intentioned Jews in Palestine.

Let’s end the mindless and national security threatening hemorrhage of treasury and blood of our citizens that of all other citizens of nations such as right now, the Yemenis who have lost 6 thousand lives of mostly unarmed civilians and at least 1 thousand children due to the barbaric Saudi Arabian bombing with billions of dollars worth of weaponry the U.S. and Britain are selling them to this day, notwithstanding the fact the Saudi Arabia, just as the Israel of Netanyahu / Likud are carrying out the most brutal international law violating crimes against the humanity of Yemenis and Palestinians, respectively.
