As a natural sequel of yesterdays APNFD Nr. 7 published minutes after the end of the Trump – Hillary debate at Hofstra University, a debate which grotesquely barred Dr. Jill Stein from participating in the “bipartisan” so-called Commission for Presidential Debate” (CPD) which is made up exclusively of Republicans and Democrats and no representatives of the rest of America’s millions of voters who have reached the level of zero tolerance with both corrupted parties.
In their greed for power at the expense of principles and of the real needs of average American, and in their undue, and probably unconstitutional, act of violating the free speech provision of the First Amendment, which has them arbitrarily exclusivistically prohibiting the formidably qualified and highly intelligent, rational, humanistic, transparent, Dr. Stein, who is self-immunized against special interests of the plutocratic top per cent of the U.S.., these two untrustworthy candidates add fuel to the irreversible fire of disdain they have become object of on the basis of their decades long behavior and historically documented background which renders them unfit for the presidency.
To add insult to injury, as mentioned in the Argentum Post in APNFD Nr. 6 yesterday, September 26, 2016, Dr. Jill Stein did legally enter the campus of Hofstra University and had a pre-arranged agreement with MSNBC to be interviewed by this network to comment on the debate between the two exclusivists, and Dr. Stein was accompanied by hundreds of supporters defending her legal right to do so, but nevertheless, Dr. Stein and her supporters were suddenly confronted by Hofstra security agents, backed up by tenths of policemen and then some were arrested and others were escorted out of the campus of Hofstra University.
So thanks to the legendary host of Democracy Now, and thanks to the free and independent Free Speech TV network, Dr. Stein could not only not be silenced, but she was given the opportunity to address some of most important questions Trump and Clinton tried to address, only to do it in a way which unquestionably revealed Dr.Stein to those not acquainted with her, as the absolutely vastly more competent candidate of the highest integrity and of a flawlessly clean background which calls for the imperative of her to be elected for the American presidency, as she and only she, and her running mate Ajamu Baraka, tower above the most flawed and unpopular candidates of a badly tarnished background in the history of our nation’s presidential elections.
So, with this foreword therefore, the Argentum Post provides the Democracy Now Part 1 video of this event, particularly for the benefit of those Americans not familiar with this sensationally superb news program, as well as for the more than 10 thousand readers of the Argentum Post in about 100 countries which not all have access to television, much less computer, but have the yearning, and intellectual curiosity to appreciate the positive aspects of American society and in that sense the informative agenda-bereft Democracy Now excels at being a veritable ambassador at large of good, honest, incisive, intrepid, courageous, commercial-free will to educate and inform.
BTW, Democracy Now was founded on February 19, of 1996 and among its awards the following can be cited (Wikipedia) :
Democracy Now! and its staff have received several journalism awards, including the Gracie Award from American Women in Radio & Television;[19] the George Polk Award for its 1998 radio documentary Drilling and Killing: Chevron and Nigeria’s Oil Dictatorship, on the Chevron Corporation and the deaths of two Nigerian villagers protesting an oil spill;[20]and Goodman with Allan Nairn won Robert F. Kennedy Memorial’s First Prize in International Radio for their 1993 report, Massacre: The Story of East Timor which involved first-hand coverage of genocide during the Indonesian occupation of East Timor.[21]
On October 1, 2008, Goodman was named as a recipient of the 2008 Right Livelihood Award,[22] in connection with her years of work establishing Democracy Now! and on 2009, she, like her frequent guest Glenn Greenwald, was awarded the first annual Izzy Award (named after journalist I. F. “Izzy” Stone) for “special achievement in independent media.”[23] Her co-host Juan Gonzalez was inducted into the New York chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists‘ Hall of Fame on November 19, 2015.
