It is by now general knowledge that our so-called U.S. “representative” delegate to the UN Security Council ( who is rather hardly representative of the majority of the American population ), namely Nikki Haley,  is utterly unqualified for her job in view of her ignorance, arrogance, and worst of all, her hysterical Iran hate and fear based incitement obsession against Iran which has her repeating the unproven myth that Iran is a “terrorism sponsoring” nation.an

Well now, after Trump abused the podium of the United Nations when he threatened to totally destroy an entire member state of the UN  which has 25 million inhabitants because said member state is arming itself with deterrent weapons to defend itself against a “regime change” attack by the U.S. – all of it to the hysterical lone applause of Benjamin Netanyahu, Nikki Haley has violated Article 34 of the Charter of the United Nations which stipulates that “The Security Council may investigate any dispute, or any situation which might lead to international friction or give rise to a dispute, in order to determine whether the continuance of the dispute or situation is likely to endanger the maintenance of international peace and security.”

Ms. Haley had the temerity to call for an urgent UN Security Council session in order to politicize an Iranian internal affairs matter by a brazen injection of her obsessive bias against Iran on an issue which is not covered by Article 34 which governs UN Security Meeting procedure.

So since internal affairs of UN member nations are NOT to be the object of Un Security Council meetings, and the issue for which Nikki Haley urged the UN Security Council meeting  deals with an entirely internal affairs matter, namely the recent sudden protests by a relatively small number of Iranians claiming a lack of economic  progress and corruption by the government, she brazenly violated this Article 34 of the UN Charter.

It goes without saying that such protest when not involving violence and vandalism are legal, are probably mostly valid, and in fact the democratically elected – for the second time – reformist President Rouhani has stated that to his people.  It is also noteworthy that a couple of days after these protests, there where massive demonstrations of support by the people of Iran for their government.

Exploiting an internal affair, and misusing it  inappropriately in violation the Charter of the United Nations, particularly when such incendiary falsehoods are injected as that Iran constitutes some kind of imaginary  threat to the region and to the world,  is not only a legal violation, but it is plainly despicable as it further adds to tensions in the region and internationally between the U.S. and our allies as well as our adversaries for no valid reason.

What is also noteworthy is that this inappropriate, impulsive, and political agenda driven request of said urgent session of the UN National Security Council meeting backfired spectacularly against Nikki Haley who was excoriated by European, Latin American, Russian, and Chinese representatives ( inter alia )and this also represents an example of shameless time and energy wasting of UN resources by this Trump/Nikki Halley outrageous and dangerous move.
