Trump’s Limitations of FBI is Equivalent to Obstruction of Justice When It Comes to the Kavanaugh Matter

The repulsive politicizing rushing by Trump and Republicans such as, most particularly Lindsay Graham, of the Kavanaugh vetting investigation is literally scandalous given the seriousness of the matter as it entails the potential of a low integrity, highly honesty challenged, and belligerent individual of poor and judgment to be nominated for the unique post of a Supreme Court Judge for decades to come.
Thanks however to the sometimes dissident and apparently sincerely interested in the “due diligence” dimension of this process, namely Senator Jeff Flake, it has now been finally agreed that the FBI will have a role in this process, but even then the “deadline” imposition by Trump et al. is an affront to justice, given particularly what we now know, and have known before, as regards to Brett Kavanaugh’s lack of integrity and emotional stability and maturity.
It must be noted however that even Sen. Jeff Flake had voted to at the Judiciary Committee level in the 10 vs. 11 votes to bring the nomination to the floor of the Senate and had it not been for the spunky, principled, courageous confrontation of Sen. Jeff Flake by Ana Maria Archila, pictured above, Sen. Flake would not have withdrawn his vote to bring this matter to the floor unless the FBI would conduct a “real” non-politicized investigation.
Ana Maria Archila, dramatically confronted Sen. Jeff Flake in an elevator to clamor for a thorough investigation by the FBI prior to the committee’s sending their vote to the Senate floor, and she brilliantly succeeded as is shown by a video of said confrontation and a follow-up interview of Ms. Archilla by the independent, progressive, one of a kind, host of Democracy Now, namely Amy Goodman.
It must be noted that it appears that even without going on to the final details of the investigation into the alleged sexual assault of Dr. Ford by Kavanaugh and Mark Judge, Kavanaugh himself may have already disqualified himself from the SCOTUS position he and Trump pretended he was fit for.
The above paragraph is based on the declarations by such individuals as (inter alia), Lisa Graves, Charles Ludington, and E.J. Dionne, Jr.
Lisa Graves is a progressive activist who is senior fellow and former executive director of the Center for Media and Democracy (CMD). She served in this role from 2009 to 2017, when she became president of True North Research and co-director of Documentedinvestigations.org.
Lisa Graves was also interviewed at the same time by Amy Goodman of the Democracy Now program and here is a clip of this interview which seems to provide documentation which shows that Kavanaugh has already committed perjury.
Charles Ludington is a Teaching Associate Professor of History at North Carolina State University. He also happens to have been a friend and classmate of Kavanaugh at Yale and has declared on CNN that Kavanaugh was not truthful when recounting his relationship with alcohol during his college years to the Senate Judiciary Committee. He also said that ” When Brett got drunk, he was often belligerent and aggressive. On one of the last occasions I purposefully socialized with Brett I witnessed him respond to a semi-hostile remark, not by defusing the situation, but by throwing his beer the man’s face and starting a fight that ended with one of our mutual friends in jail. “
E.J. Dionne, Jr. is an eminent Washington Post reporter, who on October 1, 2018 wrote a column titled ” Can the FBI Do Its Job With Kavanaugh ?” in which he criticizes the constraints the White House imposed on said investigation via White House Counsel Donald McGahan, to the point that said investigation seems to be meant more of a “White Wash” than an genuine investigation. He further adds the following. “ Every undecided senator should read Philip Bump’s extensive fact check in the Post flagging answers Kavanaugh gave that ‘stretched or misrepresented the truth’ “
Additionally it is noteworthy that Rudy Mehrbani, senior counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice said that ” It is astonishing that a nominee himself is politicizing the court…Ordinarily the threat is from political candidates “. “Yes, and this tells us something “.
We should by now be quite optimistic that the Kavanaugh nomination is DOA
“We the People” deserve and must fight to have the highest integrity individuals possible in our precious Supreme Court institution which should be off-limts to ideopolitical contamination perpetually.
