The Surrealistic Specter of George W. Bush Serving as a Consultant on Israel to Jeb Bush is Repulsive
2May 8, 2015 by Alfred
It would be simultaneously hilarious and surrealistic to imagine Jeb Bush elected as our next President and nominating his George W. Bush as his Israel expert consultant.
Turns out that today, on May 8, 2015, The Washington Post reported that Jeb Bush had announced that his brother would be his Israel consultant.
With this single absurd declaration, Jeb Bush has totally discredited himself as a viable nominee, candidate, and – heavens forbid – President of the United State.
His not only totally discredited, but disgraced, most mediocre President this country ever had, has taken our nation, along with his co-conspirators, on trillion-dollar wars on Iraq and Afghanistan, based on a number of documentable falsehoods, while spending longer than any other Presidents, (more than 900 days vacationing) and telling the media how good he feels and how good life is.
These wars claimed the lives of more than 100,000 innocent mostly civilian Iraqis and Afghanis, and additionally the lives of somewhere between 5 thousand to 10 thousand American soldiers, in addition to the more than 35 thousand Americans who have become terribly incapacitated. All along, Bush and Cheney were wrapping themselves in our flag and projecting the fake image that they were “patriots”.
George W. Bush, as President has documentably relentlessly lied about links of Iraq to the 9/11 attacks, about WMD in Iraq (and Iran) notwithstanding having been notified via National Intelligence Estimates (NIE’s) of some 13 U.S. intelligence services that there was no evidence of any WMD, about the “imminent threat” of an attack by Saddam Hussein on the United States, and the list of documented falsehoods used to criminally mislead the nation into war is too long to list in this succinct article.
In the famous Downing Street memo which was leaked to the press and reported on, inter alia, by the London Independent, George W. Bush had the temerity to suggest to Tony Blair that “we should provoke Saddam Hussein” to attack us by sending a United Nations marked airplane over Baghdad so that it would be shot at.
The case for the criminal prosecution for murder of George W. Bush and his co-conspirators, has been meticulously prepared and published in a book by legendary Prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi. It is titled “The Prosecution of an American President“.
A two-hour documentary of a presentation by Prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi at his UCLA former law school exists and yet it seems that only Free Speech TV has made it available on television. Online excerpts can be accessed, but the full two-hour documentary remains illusive.
The specter of another neocon Bush v.neoliberal Clinton election campaign is more than depressing, it is a nightmare and a charade that has nothing to do with a viable participatory democracy proceeding.
My heart and soul and my love for my country cannot endure much more of this neo-con, rabid right wing, Tea Party, born-again Christian evil disintegration of our nation. The next election is ramping up to be a continuing slide into hell, expanding the downward spiral that will be the end of the United States of America as we know it, once the ‘grand experiment,’ the beacon of hope and the closest to Democracy that we will ever have experienced.
Wonder what Alexis de Tocqueville (“Democracy in America,” 1835) would say now?
If we are to survive as a free people, we need to unite, really unite – that means all faiths, all ethnic groups, all colors, all sexes, and end the hatred that is destroying us. Then, as a united, dedicated body of citizens, we need to get get off our collective asses, get off the couch and remove our faces from the idiot box and other forms of ‘entertainment’ that are purposely geared toward desensitizing and distracting us and find out what is really going on in this nation (not from the media, which has been bought and paid for by the ‘puppet masters,’)
Sound like a dream, an impossibility, dangerous? Each citizen must answer that for himself/herself — and then imagine what the alternative will be if we do nothing. Can you live with that? Do you want our precious children to inherit a disintegrating nation that was once the envy of the entire world?
“Then join hand in hand, brave Americans all! By uniting we stand, by dividing we fail.’
(John Dickinson, “The Liberty Song,” 1768. This was one of the rallying cries of the War of Independence, more popularly known as the American Revolution 1775-1783.
What a magnificent and inspiring comment, dear Aliceny !
