One of the Worst and Most Dangerous Trump Nominations is that of Romney

As noted in the relevant portion of an article by the Washington Post’s, Michael Kranish,  titled  “Republican Opposites May Very Well Attract”, namely that “The two agree…moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, (is)a top priority for Trump”, both are terribly wrong in this view, as it is one which officially the U.S. does not support, and furthermore the rest of the world condemns, as so does the UN.

Readers must be reminded that Romney is a former business partner and close friend of the right-wing extremist Israeli PM, Netanyahu.  In 1976 they worked jointly on the 16th-floor offices of the Boston Consulting Group as corporate advisers.

It is also noteworthy that during the last presidential nomination campaign,  when Romney failed to be nominated  – a real blessing  for all Americans – and he was asked what his feeling was about the violence in Israel occupied Palestine, he had the temerity to declare that what “ one must understand is that the Israelis are ‘superior’ to the Palestinians“.   Period…

While the mainstream media is not reporting it, the reality is that the support by decent, rational, humanist, peace aspiring Jews in Israel and throughout the world, no longer exists for the  brutally violent and international law violating  occupation of the land of the natives Palestinians or the land of the city which is was a UN protectorate for Christians, Moslems, and Jews, as well as seculars.

The United States has stated after the creation of Israel in 1948, that, in a de jure sense  Jerusalem was part of Palestine and has not since become part of any other sovereignty.  After Israel’s  capture of the entire city and the adjacent West Bank in the 1967 Six Day War, which BTW, it provoked, invoking falsely the “threat” of Egyptian tank movements in Sinai, the United States again reaffirmed the desirability of establishing an international regime for the city of Jerusalem and adhered thereto ever since.

Moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem would be one of the most provocative, incendiary, and international law violating moves in a region which more than anything needs in the White House and in Congress, officials who are willing to be part of the peaceful conflict resolution in the region,  and not part of the problem by the provoking the exacerbation of the fires engulfing said region.

In case it is of any relevance, the writer of this article is, documentably (*),  the direct descendant of parents of the Jewish faith who survived the Nazi genocidal crimes against the humanity of Jews and others.

(*) This writer’s mother, Therese Gluecksmann, was interviewed by the Shoah Foundation, and a DVD copy of the interview is part of the Holocaust Museum record.
