If the Electoral College Fails to Elect Clinton, It Violates Its Creator’s, Alexander Hamilton, Directive.

Alexander Hamilton created the Electoral College.

According to the Federalist No. 68, Hamilton called for an elite institution of electors who would ensure “ a constant probability of seeing the [presidency] filled by characters pre-eminent for ability and virtue” .

Well, when it comes to “ability and virtue” it is clearly transparent, that the candidate who won the 2016 election by the democratic vote of at least 2.2 million votes is the candidate whose “ability and virtue” towers above that of the looser of the 2016 election by the democratic vote.

Inasmuch as in a democracy the principle of “one man (or one woman} is one vote” is inviolable and furthermore that the principle of equality under the law according to the 14th Amendment is enshrined into our Constitution, it becomes more than clear that the Electoral College has the obligation of electing the candidate of not only the highest character qualities and competence by experience,  but who as well received the greatest number of democratic votes by a huge margin, namely Hillary Clinton.

Less is more.  No more needs to be said.

Any rational, decent, well-meaning American voter, on a bipartisan basis, will recognize this reality which could not be more obvious.

So, President Not-Yet-Elect, Donald Trump, should stop interfering in the internal affairs of the People’s Republic of China, should stop calling for the move of the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, should be ashamed of having told the misleader of the Philippines (Rodrigo Duterte}  that Duterte’s order to his order to police to execute any drug user or trafficker something which has by now resulted in 4,600 execution, is “the right thing to do”  as these are unduly provocative and incendiary acts and directives which   most certainly are out-of-order for a  President Not-Yet-Elect to make.

This also applies to President Not-Yet-Elect Trump’s directive that U.S. flag burning is a crime and must be punished by the revocation of U.S. citizenship, since President Not-Yet-Elect is ignorant of the U.S. Constitution and of Supreme Court Rulings which have established clearly that (a) flag burning is protected speech, and (b) U.S. citizenship cannot be used as a weapon against any U.S. citizen, no matter how despicable his or hers act may be.

Finally, it is important to note that the American electorate as well as those who have not voted, have a right and moral obligation to safeguard our constitutional democracy by, inter alia, signing the Change.org petition to the Electoral College demanding that the Electors fulfill their duty to not violate Alexander Hamilton’s directive by voting for the winner of the democratic election who is also incomparably more experienced and competent and thus endowed with much higher “ability and virtue” relative to that of the looser President Not-Yet-Elect, if he has any of that ability and virtue as a man of zero experience in politics and a man given to the most obnoxiously low moral values which are documented by his grotesquely disparaging remarks about women, Mexicans, Moslems, and all kinds of other minority groups.
