CIA Director Mike Pompeo met late last month with a former U.S. intelligence official who has become an advocate for a disputed theory that the theft of the Democratic National Committee’s emails during the 2016 presidential campaign was an inside job, rather than a hack by Russian intelligence.

The hysterical Russophobia agenda of linking Russia / Putin to an alleged hacking of the elections continues to be bereft of solid evidence.

This is so much so, that just recently, on October 24, 2017,  the Director of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, invited a former Technical Director of the NSA, namely William Binney, who became an NSA whistleblower, to hear his view on this matter.

It would be difficult if not impossible to believe, that if Mr. Binney was considered  a so-called “conspiracy theorist”, the Director of the CIA would take his time and the prestige of his office to interview him.

Bottom line however, is the fact that to this day there is only the evidence of no evidence about Russia / Putin hacking intervention into the DNC computers.

William Binney, on the other hand, studied this matter throughly and on the basis of the results of that in synergy with his technical expertise as the former Technical Director of the NSA, has co-authored in conjunction a group of former intelligence officials called “Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity” (VIPS)  a “memo” which posits that the DNC emails which exposed the DNC wrongdoing via the public revelation of very damaging email, was the result of an insider leak and NOT a Russian /Putin hack.

What was revealed, in addition to what was already known and suspected about Hillary Clinton (as well as Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and others such as Madeleine Albright) was their greediness for political capital and utter lack of ethics and honesty.

This was most conspicuously exposed when Hillary declared that the 30-year corrupt, ruthless and murderous dictator of Egypt, namely Hosni Mubarak, was referred by her as someone she likes as if he was a member of the family, and when in 2009 she insisted and prevailed with President Obama to handle the violent abduction in the middle of the night of the Honduran popular and democratically elected President Zelaya and therefor decided as our Secretary of State that said violent coup by Honduran thugs who eventually went to carry out assassinations of human rights and environmental rights workers such as the Berta Careers,  would not be characterized a “coup” , because we have interests in preserving good relations with said thugs as we have the military base of Palmerola as a higher priority as condemning crimes against the humanity of the Honduran people.

Likewise Clinton’s neoliberalism had her cashing in, via her “charity” on the largesses of such billionaires as the Zionist Israeli Haim Saban, whom she thanked and asked for instructions as to how she should proceed via political paybacks to the Israel lobby AIPAC by opposing BDS, the peaceful approach to force the Zionist run Israel to abide by international law.

BDS is supported by Jewish Voice for Peace and millions of progressive, noble, humanist Jews, and yet Hilary Clinton chose to be subservient to the Zionists hegemonists and go along with misusing the trusts of those who oppose the U.S. sheltering Israel from accountability for its hegemonist, racist, supremacist violations of international law as regards to the its crimes against the Palestinian people.

Now, to not get sidetracked, the most particularly relevant issue as regards to the 2016 election was the way the DNC under Hillary Clinton’s undue influence,  discussed with other DNC operatives ways to sabotage and discredit Bernie Sanders’ nomination since his grassroots, progressive, Democratic Party agenda points clashed with their regressive, neoliberal,  undemocratic Democratic Party agenda, and that involved first characterizing Bernie Sanders as “not Jewish enough” and/or better as “ secular “ or “atheist” , and secondly – after the electoral defeat of Clinton – to immediately blame it on Russia / Putin , since about the only interesting and generally acceptable proposal Trump made in his campaign was that, if elected he (a) would end foreign interventions, and (b) would maintain good relations with Russia / Putin.

William Binney maintains that said DNC insider leak was obtained by downloading directly from the DNC computer information onto a thumb drive.

Key among the finding of the independent forensic investigations is the conclusion that the DNC data was copied onto some storage device, since downloading it at a speed which far exceeds an Internet capability for a remote hack is unlikely.

What now is most important to focus on is to keep in mind that the Trump misadministration is untenable, and is in a state of deconstruction before it ever became near constructive, and therefore it is in a slippery slope which nevertheless could take our nation into a downward spiral of damages of lasting impact and for no valid reason, and that calls for staying focused on Trumps lack of integrity, honesty, and competence which are valid reasons for his removal from office based on his own demerits.

We must not allow us to be blindsided by conspiracy theories about Russia / Putin electoral interference whose collateral damage could well be a major new cold war which we would have provoked, if we have not already, in the case of Russia,  for no rational reasons at a time when we need the cooperation of major world powers to peacefully and hence diplomatically end criminal and destabilizing interventions by such odious misleaderhips as those of Saudi Arabia and its genocidal bombing aggression for 2 years on Yemen, and or its threats and embargo on  Qatar, and its outrageous interference in Lebanon, and as those of Burma in their ethnic cleansing and expulsion of close to a million of its autochthonous Rohingya population, and as those of the Zionist misled Israel in its “Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine” (by progressive Israeli Ilan Pappe – living at teaching in London)  and its fanatic and bizarre hate and fear mongering agitation against the only major stable nation in the Middle East, namely Iran, which has been a major contributor to the security in the region as it joined allied forces to contain, isolate, defuse, and defeat the scourge of Daesh (aka ISIS).

It should be noted at this point that since the corporatized mainstream media hardly touched the reality of the evidence of no evidence of Russia / Putin intervention in our election, and since the U.S has intervened in the election of some 45 countries and not by hacking computer but by violent military means in many, it behooves us to demand that our Fourth Estate assume the ethical imperative to inform the American people accurately, precisivelly and objectively, since increasingly it has delved into depths of ignoring historical reality and providing proper and scholarly contextualization to events of major national and international relevance and ramification, and this constitutes a dereliction duty to inform and a violation of our “right to know” which goes in tandem with our “right to speak out”.
