Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 11/9 is a Superb Endorsement for the Only Solution : Democratic Progressivism

Yesterday, on 09/17/2018, the writer of this Argentum Post viewed the fabulous premiere of the legendary Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 11/9” documentary.
This presentation took place at the historic Uptown movie theater in Washington, DC.
This is a documentary which every single public and private high school in America should give its studentry the opportunity to see and discuss subsequently. It is another Michael Moore masterpiece.
There are no sacred political cows in this very honest, accurate and precise documentary which mostly exposes Trump and the whole Republican party cabal as what they are, i.e. not a politically decently conservative response to decent liberalism, but rather a decadent culture which has gradually degraded itself into an ethically, intellectually, and politically bankrupt right-wing extremist, regressive, racist, classist, misogynist, homophobic ideology.
It seems that the last decent, moderate, balanced Republican President we had was President Dwight Eisenhower. In his farewell speech he warned ALL Americans beware of the “industrial-military” complex and to avoid foreign entanglements abroad.
What rarely is mentioned in the corporate press is that President Eisenhower excoriated President Truman for having been (thus far) the only leader of a nation to use unnecessarily nuclear bombs on innocent, unarmed, civilians, killing close to some 200 thousand in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, at a time when Emperor Hirohito had already prepared the surrender declaration document. Eisenhower also was the only President to firmly critique Israel and threatened to withhold aid to Israel for its invasion of Sinai, demanding a complete withdrawal.
Moore does also expose the reality of how the decent liberal Democratic party has ceased to be what it was and how “we the people” want it to be but never quite was.
Moore does so, quite assertively, although this phenomenon of degradation has evolved at a slower and lesser degree.
The degraded has become evident, most particularly in the 2016 elections in which the DNC’s neoliberal operatives as well as Hillary Clinton have shown their neocon-like side, supporting the war on Iraq on fraudulent grounds, supporting the 2009 coup in Honduras by thugs, supporting the demolition of Libia, and supporting and being funded in her collusion with the Israeli propaganda lobby which is in violation of the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA), the dishonest AIPAC propaganda lobby, while also being funded by such shady characters as the billionaire Haim Saban, and casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, while sabotaging the Bernie Sanders campaign.
Moore points out how Sanders was literally screwed by the Electoral College, and points out how more effective an opponent of Trump he would have been, to the point of most probably defeating him.
Of course, Trump did not win the election on the basis of the popular vote vis-a-vis Hillary Clinton as well, just as Bush W. failed to win the popular vote vis-a-vis Al Gore.
Clearly “we the people” must demand a genuine democracy which is based on the “direct vote”, and that point comes up in the documentary as well.
Moore goes to Flint during the criminal lead intoxication of its water supply and shows footage of the Air Force bombing of buildings as an “exercise” for bombings abroad. He correctly remarks how the mainstream media failed to cover this outrageous bombing about which the residents of Flint were not given advance warning.
Uncanny and valid comparisons of Trump with Hitler are craftily and painfully observed as being most realistic.
At the same time, Moore points out how
This writer identifies quite vividly with the analogies supra described analogies, being the son of refugee parents who were forcibly denaturalized by the Nazis, and who in 1938 had to escape separately to the only country which would accept them, namely Bolivia, and whose father was then, upon arrival, ordered by the immigration authority to return to what would be his certain extermination, namely Marseilles, by the undue influence of Zionist Organization (ZO) in Lima, Peru, which wanted all Jewish arrivals to be sent to the Palestine colonization project, but managed again with adrenaline and luck to escape, to finally find freedom in Cochabamba, Bolivia where this writer was born.
The most important message in Fahrenheit 11/9 though, is that the mid-term elections will be one of the most important election, if not “the” most important election in our nation if we are to start to, not “recover” our democracy, but “acquire” sustainably our people’s democracy which, this time must become a 100% genuinely participative democracy which prioritizes universal care, totally affordable higher education, major investments in infrastructure maintenance, drastic cuts in military spending, zero tolerance for corruption, inequality, racism, gun violence, and interventionism which lead to “foreign entanglements“, as well as ending our military support for nations led by outlaws such as Myanmar, Philippines, Israel, Saudi Arabia, while constructively engaging with nations which have been falsely vilified, such as Iran, Russia, Cuba.
The most salient word to characterize this real democracy is the qualifier that it be a “PROGRESSIVE” one, which will be totally immune to the corporate dictates which have in effect created via a slow-motion insidiously planned anti-democratic coup giving rise to an elitist, exclusivist, belligerent, hegemonic, plutocracy.
So, with this succinct foreword, see infra the official trailer of “Fahrenheit 11/9” which starts will be shown in the major movie theaters throughout the nation, starting on September 21, 2018.
Thanks for your great review and message of hope.
