In the October 18, 2016 Washington Post article titled “Retired General Pleads Guilty to Lying to the FBI Leak Probe” ( title which was subsequently changed ) a crucial element of the story was missed, and in defense of the four-star Marine Corps General James E. Cartwright, as well as in support of the American people’s right to know, this omission needs to be addressed.

The documentary “Zero Days” , in which  ex-CIA and NSA director General Michael Hayden harshly criticizes Israel’s betrayal , explains why General Cartwright declared that his “…only goal in talking to the reporters was to protect American lives and interests.”

This documentary and follow-up Argentum Post article constitute another exposé of how the Israeli government has betrayed an agreement with the United States and offensively and abusively misused a “weapon”, namely the Stuxnet malware virus  it was allowed to assist in designing and which however it was allowed to use for defensive and intelligence objectives exclusively .

While the article does mention that the sabotage of Iranian uranium centrifuges was carried out by the computer worm virus dubbed Stuxnet, developed  by a joint U.S.-Israeli project, it does not mention that ex-CIA and NSA director Gen. Michael Hayden, categorically accused and condemned Israel for blowing the joint project by infecting a global network, effectively letting the malware worm go rogue.

In the documentary “Zero Days”, Michael Hayden is seen as claiming that the goal of a potential Israeli strike on Iran would be to drag the US into a war with Iran, something which would be utterly unwarranted and which would have catastrophic consequences.

This fact makes it easier to understand General Cartwright’s noble concerns, and the American people has a right to be informed of this egregious violation by Israel of the US trust and of the danger Israel poses with its pathological obsession with Iran which has resulted in Israel’s   fabrication of false evidence of Iran’s danger to its existence in its relentless and frantic attempt to sabotage  US – Iranian diplomacy by President Obama and Iranian reformist President Rouhani.

It must be furthermore taken into account, that legal analysts noted that General  Cartwright was being charged in connection with the leak investigation, and not with the leak itself.

While both, Hillary Clinton and General Petraeus, lied brazenly to the FBI, about their mishandling of confidential information, the former was not charged at all, while the latter got away with light sentence, and yet the politicization of the charges against General Cartwright have him facing 5 years in prison.

It is also amazing that in The Washington Post’s article there is a paragraph which states the following :   “The Obama administration was also ‘sensitive’ to its ally Israel’s concerns about revealing information in a court case about the cyber-operation “.

It makes one question the “sensitivity” of Israeli death squads when they assassinated at least 4 Iranian scientists in Iran on the hypothetical assumption that they may have been working on the uranium-enriching centrifuges for nuclear energy weaponization objectives, when in reality they were most probably active in the uranium-enrichment centrifuges for energy and medical applications, something for which Iran has a right to, particularly as it is a signatory to the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty) , which Israel has refused to sign on as it developed its arsenal of nuclear weapons of mass destruction and documentably proliferated its technology to the racist, white supremacist, Apartheid regime of South Africa, as described in, inter alia, the book “The Unspoken Alliance : Israel’s Secret Relationship With Apartheid South Africa ” written by Sasha Polakow-Suransky, a Jewish author who along with his parents escaped the Nazi crimes in Austria against the humanity of Jews and others by first emigrating to South Africa wherefrom they later were forced out.

It also makes one question the “sensitivity” of the Israeli power structure and its enablers in  Washington and London, when in the summer of 2014 it carried out the horrific Gaza massacre, killing some 3 thousand mostly unarmed innocent civilians, including 500 children,   as well as the “sensitivity” of Washington and London, which sold billions of dollars worth of weaponry and fighter planes enabling the worst violator of human rights  regime of the world, namely Saudi Arabia, as it carries out the massacre of some 5 thousand including some 1 thousand children in Yemen, and now most dangerously – the “sensitivity” of Hillary Clinton who panders to Netanyahu’s racist and hegemonically racist and insane policies, who also  pandered to the bloody violent dictator of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak, who she characterizes as having an affection to as if he was “a member of the family” , and the “sensitivity” of Hillary Clinton when in 2009 she decided that the violent coup against the democratically elected President Zelaya of Honduras, who was abducted in the middle of the night, would be ignored and not called a “coup” so the industrial military complex could continue to have the US deliver weaponry and helicopters to the murderous thugs who took over after said coup, murderers who assassinated environmental rights and human rights activists such as  Berta Careers, and many more, including labor leaders just two days ago,  and the “sensitivity” of this possible next US president who cannot wait to unilaterally, recklessly, and unlawfully declare Syria a no-fly zone, to then attack Damascus, and possibly and insanely, Russia, who in her bizarre mind is responsible for the exposure of her dishonesty via her e-mails published by Wikileaks.

So, God help us, if “we the people” cannot get our democratically elected leaders in Congress and in the White House to demand immediately our determination and need to the end of the hemorrhage of trillions of dollars for the deranged destruction of human lives and infrastructure in the pursuit of demoniacal notion that the mythical  “exceptionalism” invoked by Hillary Clinton and the rest of the neocon/neolib establishment uses pre textually in the hell-bent undemocratic pursuit of the perversely hegemonically deranged tiny minority of reckless billionaires to mislead our great nation away from the direction of peace establishment , of accountability and by exercise of untainted justice and constitutionality based reconstruction, single payer health care establishment, affordable education provision, and constructive engagement with the rest of the world, coupled to the elimination of the bankrupt special interest lobbies  such as the NRA, AIPAC, and many others, which are in business exclusively to obstruct our progressive path forward to let America become genuinely all it can rationally and humanistically be, given its vast natural and human resources.
